Personal Effects (Books, Clothing, etc.)
A customs form needs to be filled at the time of booking the shipment. Additional clearance charges of AU$150 is applicable. Shipment may be subject to inspection and quarantine.

Foodstuff
Dry items can be sent from person to person accompanied with proforma invoice mentioning the contents of the foodstuff and value. Avoid plant / animal material as it is subject to quarantine and additional charges & paperwork may apply.

Medicine
Suggest not to carry as an import permit is required from the Department of Health. Quarantine charges of AU$44 apply.

Sports / Musical Instruments
Odd sized or shaped items travel based on their volumetric weight (calculated after packaging) or actual weight whichever is higher. Volumetric Weight (Kg) = (LxBxH in cm) / 6000. Wooden packaging to be avoided as it requires special treatment.

United Kingdom

Personal Effects (Books, Clothing, etc.)
A customs form needs to be filled at the time of booking the shipment. This is a requirement of the UK Customs. Shipments without this form can get delayed at UK Customs.

Foodstuff
UK is very particular about import of foodstuff. Normally they do not allow any food items. If you need to send anything then the accompanying paperwork must clearly mention the full breakdown of each individual item of food contained. It is advised not to carry any foodstuff.

Medicine
Suggest not to carry as there are a lot of regulations governing import of medicines.

Sports / Musical Instruments

United States of America

Personal Effects (Books, Clothing, etc.)
Declaration of Free Entry of Personal Effects should be filled at the time of handing over the shipment to DHL if the value is more than US$200. For used personal effects - Consignee phone no., Flight No., Arrival Date, passport no. required regardless of value.

Requires a prescription / letter from a US based doctor mentioning the drug name & dosage and proof of foreign citizenship.
