Important Information Regarding Fraudulent Use of DHL Tracking eMail.

We have been informed that a fraudulent email is being distributed with the subject “DHL tracking number”. The email contains a message similar to the following:

“We were not able to deliver postal package you sent on the [date] in time because the recipient’s address is not correct. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.”

The email attachment contains a suspected virus. Please delete the email immediately and be advised that the package referred to does not exist.

Please be advised that DHL does not request the recipient to print out a copy of the invoice for collection of packages at DHL offices. In cases where the recipient’s address is incorrect, a DHL Customer Service representative will contact the sender for a new delivery address. Please note that DHL correspondences contain valid air waybill and tracking numbers and can be identified by the DHL domain name (nameofsender@dhl.com).
